I was turned on to La Paz via Groupon over a year ago. Now I see Erica for Brazilians once a month, like clockwork. Erica enjoys her job and she is great it! I have an issue with ingrowns, and Erica makes sure to get them all out for me and offer suggestions for preventing and removing them. She is also just a pleasure to chat with. Getting waxed is not very pleasant, but I find myself looking forward to my appointments with Erica because I feel like I'm spending half an hour catching up with a friend! She is also very reasonably priced in comparison to other places I've been to in Houston. Keep up the good work, Erica!

I would never trust anyone else with them. She dedicates her life to making women feel beautiful! You walk into the salon and feel comfortable and at home! She does the BEST trimming and shaping to make your brows frame your face to perfection. Adriana will bend forward and backwards for her clients. I was put on acne medication that made my skin too sensitive to wax so she took the time to pluck and trim my brows even though that service is not on the menu. Erica does my Brazilian, and does a wonderful job. She makes sure to get every ingrown and stray hair, and leaves you smooth and flawless. She never misses a hair! I would not trust anyone else with my waxing!

Alcove Yoga

This is a wonderful day spa in the Heights. I get my hair cut by Cindy; my husband gets his hair cut by Minda; and our two sons go to Michelle. It's rare to have so much talent packed into one place. This place has heart. Adriana, the owner, does fantastic facials which have really clarified and evened out the tone of my skin. Finally, Tracy is the the best nail technician in the city. She will nurture your feet and hands.

I recently got my hair colored by Michelle after getting a bad color job. I can't believe how great she did. She did exactly what I wanted and even more. I don't think I could ever go anywhere else now. My hair looks AMAZING! Very impressed with her coloring skills.

Also, I've had facials and my eyebrows done by Adriana and she does a fantastic job. She is very professional, and a perfectionist. She shapes and tints my brows nicely. Its amazing what a difference it makes.

I have extremely acne-prone skin and her acne facials make a huge difference on my skin. 

I would never trust anyone else to do these types of services. Overall, I am amazed by this salon & spa. You wont be disappointed!

I have been seeing Adriana (waxing) and Cindy (hair) every six weeks for several years now and they are both great at what they do! They are both extremely professional and perfectionists at their trade. I also have had a facial by Erica once and it was lovely. I've never been disappointed with any service from La Paz and I recommend them to everyone I know! The salon is always very peaceful and everyone there is friendly and welcoming.
